Learning from successful people or failure Essay

Gaining from effective individuals or disappointment - Essay Example Likewise, an individual who longs to take in ought to either gain from the encounters effective individuals or learn through disappointments. From the on-start, I would contend that the two strategies for learning are significant relying upon the common circumstance. Gaining from individual disappointments is vital in certain circumstances. For instance, in school, we are shown different ideas and speculations that are significant for us to comprehend and likely apply them in our future profession or some place throughout everyday life. In such a situation committing errors coming about to assessment disappointments can have a greater exercise contrasted with gaining from the individuals who have been fruitful. This method of learning encourages us to encounter the truth of what our ability was at the hour of the disappointment and fashion a path forward that will encourage improvement. Likewise, when an understudy gets an idea wrong, they are interested to comprehend what was anticipated from them. In opposite, different people’s experience may not instruct that. Individuals have altogether different characters; the way taken by an effective individual to accomplish what they have accomplished might be very not quite the same as the one t hat someone else will utilize. This implies somewhat achievement is character altered. In spite of the fact that an individual may take a way taken by an effective individual, odds of disappointment can't need. Gaining from the accomplishment of others is a significant perspective. As a matter of fact, each individual ought to long to gain from others more than gaining from their own disappointments. This is on the grounds that individual disappointments are probably going to open a person to some sharpness just as injury that might be difficult to recuperate. In any case, a few conditions will expect people to commit errors so they can learn. Right off the bat, individual disappointments can open us to threat. It is smarter to follow what another person did and got effective as opposed to attempting another course except if the course is shorter and advantageous. Nonetheless, this is for the most part predominant in explore. In a large portion of the territories throughout everyday life,

Essay Topics For Bank Exams - Overusing Topic Ideas

Essay Topics For Bank Exams - Overusing Topic IdeasEssay topics for bank exams are not hard to come by. Most candidates, however, tend to overuse some of the most popular topics and are in danger of falling into the trap of taking too much or getting too relaxed when writing. In general, I prefer to use topic ideas that have not yet received significant debate during exam time. The time after the exam day will be ripe with ideas from all quarters. This is when experts and the general public will be debating on the many issues that lie ahead of students. One way to stay on the right track is to outline and implement the thesis statement for each essay topic for bank exams. At least a paragraph should be included for each of the topics and students should be encouraged to 'jot down' their thoughts at the end of the essay. Many companies will even make the information available for free.We must remember that, in the end, it is always the student's true interest and best interest in mind. When asked what topic will be covered during the course of the exam, students will instinctively respond that they do not know. The reason being that, prior to exam day, their courses were long filled with lecture notes and there was a limited amount of time for conversation with instructors and fellow students. This often gives students a strong, powerful stimulus to write down all that they can think of. Again, these events are part of the natural sequence of events that students feel as if they have to do. It is part of what makes us human and what makes us feel we should write down all of our thoughts as if it were the most important thing to do.Regardless of which topic is chosen, the fact remains that it is a subject matter that should be given enough thought and attention. It is the chance for students to provide answers to questions that were not satisfactorily answered in the lecture. To write well on a topic of this nature is an art form that takes lots of practice. If the s tudents find they are having difficulty in the subject matter area or if their topic ideas do not meet the usual standards, we have a good opportunity to rethink the essay topics for bank exams. One idea would be to change the topic slightly, perhaps making it easier to grasp or changing it entirely so that students do not become bored with the topics. The examiners may look at such things and more likely than not, a certain theme will be a very easy one to write about. One last thought for the students who need essay topics for bank exams is to write about something that will be useful in their careers or with their future employers. This can be very motivating to the students and may even improve their writing skills.

Characterizing Shylock in William Shakespeares The Merchant of Venice The ‘Merchant of Venice’ was written at a time when there was great prejudice towards the Jewish race. They were known for their intelligence, hard work and business acumen, which later led them to be mistreated and resented. They were made to wear distinctive clothing in order to be identified, and citizens of Venice could treat Jews in any way they wished. The Christian church also taught that Jews should be despised for their rejection of Jesus and that money lending was morally wrong. The Jewish people were also not allowed to work in the government, military or guilds. This meant that their lifestyles were restricted and†¦show more content†¦This applied even more so to the Jews as Judaism was passed on through the mother and so in converting to Christianity, Jessica will be denying Shylock of a Jewish heir. In the course of analysing the ‘Merchant of Venice,’ a key factor to remember is that attitudes towards Shylock have changed over time. In modern day society, he could be perceived as a victim, as he is a product of his environment. These days our society is far more accepting, whereas in the 16th century, Shylock may have been perceived as a villain, in opposition to the calm and rational persona of Antonio. Throughout the play Shylock is continually persecuted for his religion and beliefs. Although the Christians depend on him for money loans, they are un-necessarily aggressive in his presence and have no restraints when it comes to verbally abusing him. ‘To spit on thee again, to spurn thee too.’ This depicts Shylock as a victim of his society and continually plays on the sympathy of the audience. Shakespeare also illustrates the suffering that the Jewish race was exposed to and the stereotypical views that were cast upon them. ‘The Hebrew will turn Christian, he grows kind.’ In the 16th century Christianity was seen as the superior religion and Shakespeare is portraying the way in which the Christians saw themselves. They believed that Jews wereShow MoreRelated Merchant of Venice Essay: Antonios Love for Bassanio1721 Words   |  7 PagesAntonios Love for Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚   Antonio feels closer to Bassanio than any other character in The Merchant of Venice. Journal of Arts Essay Example For Students

Journal of Arts Essay There are many kinds of art in the building of Science. I want to describe two of them. At first, I saw a photo. It is so amazing. There are seven wind turbines in it. And I think that this picture is made up of seven photos. Each wind turbine has a different background. The photographer shot in different periods of turbines. For instance, it was shot in the morning , in the evening, at noon and so on. I think the photographer is imaginative. His name is Van Gooch. He is a UMN professor of Biology wind in the sky. This picture was made in Digital Photography Collage in 2006. I think this photo want to show us about wind power in Minnesota. Minnesota is a big flat. There are few mountains. April is the windiest month of the year on average in Minnesota. So there are many wind turbines in Minnesota. I like this picture very much. I think it is beautiful art. Then I will describe a dinosaur fossil. When I first saw it, I did not know what it was. I even couldn’t find its eyes. It is so ugly. But it had a deep impression on me. The dinosaur fossil only had its head in the building of science. There are three horns on head. It looks like a rhinoceros from a distance. Actually, it is Triceratops horridus. It was a rhinoceros-like dinosaur. A triceratops had three horns and a beak. It is so weird. Triceratops was a genus of herbivorous ceratopsid dinosaur that first appeared during the late Maastrichtian stage of the late Cretaceous period, about 68 million years ago in what is now North America. It is unusual and surprising. Art is a part of my life. Life is full of art. I often listen to music to cultivate my taste. And I often watch movies with my friends. Art play roles in my life.

Learning the Importance of Breakeven Point Analysis

Learning the Importance of Breakeven Point Analysis Breakeven point analysis is a very important tool, especially if you are preparing a business plan, to figure out the volume of sales your arts and crafts business needs to make in order to cover both your variable and fixed costs. At breakeven point, your arts and crafts business has made or lost no money. This is important info for you, the business owner, as you have to be able to handcraft your arts and crafts items at a price that your customers will pay while still providing an adequate amount of income to cover your personal living expenses. Once you get the hang of it you will find it quick and easy to figure breakeven point using an Excel spreadsheet. Breakeven Point by Item or Entire Business When discussing breakeven point analysis with clients, the goal is to figure it for either their entire business or by-product. While its more difficult to figure breakeven point for every item you make (this is more of a job costing extravaganza), its not impossible. Later on, well show you how to do a rough breakeven by item. Exploring Breakeven Point Analysis Consider the following scenario: One day a potential client walks through the office door, who is wondering whether they should go ahead and open an arts and crafts business. The clients main concern is whether they will be able to cover all their business costs. They also want to know how many arts and crafts items they will have to sell to pay themselves a certain amount of income each month. They have done their preliminary research, including lining up raw materials suppliers and getting price lists from those suppliers. Importantly, they have also found out what they need to do to become a wholesale customer of the suppliers and discount terms. The craft business owners have also made prototypes of the items to get an idea of how much raw material will be needed if the business goes into production mode. Walking Through Breakeven Point Facts Using a handy-dandy spreadsheet program, were going to present a step-by-step guide to breakeven point analysis for our fictitious new arts and crafts client - Oak Desk Clocks, Inc. Before we set up breakeven point analysis for them, we need some basic cost facts and figures: Variable expenses are those expenses that are tied to the number of units sold. For each clock that Oak Desk Clocks, Inc. makes they figure there is a cost of $25.00 for the combined total of material and labor.Fixed expenses are those expenses that do not change based upon the increases or decreases in the sales of your desks. A very good example of this is rent expense. Oak Desk Clocks lease calls for a monthly rent payment of $1,000. So, no matter if Oak Desk Clocks sells one clock or a million, the company is still responsible for the fixed amount ($1,000) in rent payments each month. Setting Up Breakeven Point Analysis Shown below are the initial entries we plan to make into a breakeven point spreadsheet for Oak Desk Clocks, Inc. None of these entries require any formulas - these are just the assumptions the owners of Oak Desk Clocks have made based upon their research into the clock-making industry. Sales price per clock is $35.00 with an expected increase in sales price of 10% per year.Variable costs per clock are $25.00 with an expected increase in the price of raw materials and labor of 5% per year.Fixed costs per year are $75,000, which Oak Desk Clocks feels will remain constant over the next five years.Advertising expense of $15,000 will be a major expense in the first year of business but should decrease by 12% each year over the next five years.

Contemporary and Classic artworks Research Paper

Contemporary and Classic artworks - Research Paper Example The essay "THREE contemporary artworks" discovers the Three Artworks Illustrating The Aspect Of Interdisciplinary Practice. The genre of the sound is taken to be a contemporary artwork and is it an interdisciplinary based on nature. The artwork of sound can take a form of hybrid. Also, the environmental so und, sounds from the body of the human beings, acoustics and many more tools can be involved in the art of sound. Only significant and relevant tools or rather subjects which are part of the artwork which is contemporary can be used in the art of sound. Report - Essay Example With this concern, the report intends to examine the measures that can be used for reviewing the performance of Tesco. In this regard, various performance measures relating to finance along with resource, customer satisfaction indicators and innovation along with market development will be discussed. Gross along with net profit margin and market share acts as effective financial along with resource based performance measures, through which the overall performance of the companies such as Tesco can be determined. Theoretically, the net profit margin depicts the ability of the management to control and meet the needs of indirect costs. It also reveals the suitability of businesses to perform effectively in future. In this regard, the net profit margin should be higher in order to depict a better future profitability and performance index (Needham & Dransfield, 2000). For instance, the financial performance of Tesco can be determined or measured with the assistance of certain financial statements that prepare by the company on an annual basis. It has been apparently noted that the company prepares different financial statements in order to measure the performance of the Group in a suitable manner (Tesco PLC, 2013). In this regard, it can be apparently observed that the net margin o f the company decreased substantially in the year 2013 as compared to the year 2012. This can be justified with the help of the following table. As per the above table, it can be clearly understood that the gross margin of Tesco declined in the year 2012 as compared to the year 2013 due to excessive costs incurred by the company while selling it various products or services to the worldwide customers. It is worth mentioning that the financial as well as the resource performance of the company can also be evaluated based on market share. It is obvious that a company

Rockaway pipeline

I do not support radon gas because of its harmful effects that can affect everyone around or using the gas. Radon is second leading cause of lung cancer, the primary adverse health effect associated with chronic exposure to radon is lung cancer typically bronchogenic, squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, large cell carcinoma. Radon also has the potential to generate genotoxic effects higher incidence of chromosomal aberrations. Radon has been linked with erotogenic effects. Radon and smoking displayed a synergistic effect.Increased levels of exposure to radon increase the probability of observing an effect; however, increased levels of exposure do not necessarily influence the type or severity of the effect. There are no zero risk thresholds for radon exposure, but instead, risk increases proportionate to the exposure time. Pipelines can explode at any time for many different reasons, and those reasons can be the cause of why shopping malls, ouses, and schoo ls could be the victims of a fatal fire after the pipelines explode. You state that the pipelines would have periodic checks and be monitored 24 hours a day, every year, but tell that to the campers of Floyd Benet Park, the trees there are prone to fire, and I sincerely doubt that you wish to spend all your profits fixing on the reparation needed to replenish all the trees. Radon decays to equally radioactive and dangerous particles, like polonium and radioactive lead, In addition, before being broken down to regular, non-radioactive lead. When people breathe in, radon is exhaled, but the radon particles ends up inside the lungs, which then will cause cancer. Only because the radon is a heavy, gas and usually gravitates towards the open floor, making in harmful for children, pets and adults The Radon particles and the progeny can plate out the sides ot gas pipelines, which makes the pipelines hot and radioactive, then making them hazardous. I recently found out that in 1986, EPA had s et a limit for exposure to radon in air at 4 picocuries per liter.Being that there is increased exposure to many inds of radiation in the world today. Universities and Organizations like John Hopkins Universities and the World Health Organization have said that 2. 7 picocuries per liter would be a much better standard, but in reality, there is really know safe level of exposure. To Whom is reading this Letter I sincerely hope you take account all of the facts and examples that I have written and explained to you this day, and I hope the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission understands the dangers or this gas and how it can affect our community,
